Unfortunately for California, the old adage still applies. You reap what you sow.

That’s one way to solve the homeless problem.

...and by ordering all residents indoors for the next month, the people in the streets can get sick and die out-of-sight and the cities will go and clean up the streets before everyone comes out from quarantine.

Open borders policies, too many regulations against housing, legalization of marijuana, a leftist, socialist, sexually confused mecca,... Not hard to see where all of that went wrong. Looks like a libertarian/anarchist magnet.

I’m not sure I buy Gavin’s prediction of the homeless being hit hard by this thing. It’s certainly a risk for homeless who sleep in shelters and use public restrooms. In San Francisco, though, this time of year the weather is pretty mild. A lot of the homeless spend most or all of their day outdoors and mostly keep to themselves, sleeping in doorways or park benches and not bothering to avail themselves of public toilets. This virus seems like more of an indoor thing, a plane/train thing, and a thing among people (like politicians and TSA workers) who are in close contact with large numbers of other people (100s or 1000s per day). a lot of the homeless are pretty tough SOBs. I’ve seen some of them living on the streets for years. A virus like this that produces minimal symptoms in so many people seems unlikely to take down the homeless. We’ll see.

Paradoxically, the homeless probably have tough immune systems given their living conditions.

And now we know why San Francisco wants to quarantine the law abiding populace. They desperately want to protect the homeless, no matter how long it takes, and no matter how many million people need to be crushed by the state.

Most of the people getting this virus flew in planes and many of them in first class... Not a whole lot of bums fly first class... But who knows? Maybe panhandling wages have gone up.

they reap bailouts. Didn’t we them bail out money after trump said he would fix it? Gosh, that was December. Guess they need more cash from tax payers in responsible states.

Yup. Drugs and mental health.

This asshole is against enforcing immigration laws, essentially encouraging illegal drug trafficking, and the state no longer has mental institutions to care for the rest of the homeless.

Everything coming out of Sacramento defies common sense.

Who will the politicians and the media blame if this happens?

Yes, they will blame Trump, even if it was their own local fault.

It's the inverse of teaching a man to fish.

Pick up a poop and the street is clean for a day. Pick up a homeless corps and the street is clean for a ... oh wait there's another one where that one came from.

If it hits the homeless population, they will drop like flies.

What with the drug and alcohol use, and likely other factors, they won’t even be making it to the hospital. They’ll be dying in the streets like we saw in China.

I suppose that the only reason that it hasn’t hit there yet, is that there’s likely very little contact between the homeless population and the rest of the world. But it’s just a matter of time.

There won’t be enough beds for homeless virus patients in California because the beds will already be occupied by illegal aliens.
