Virtually all cinemas in the U.S. are dark due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The U.S. movie industry and its 150,000 employees are asking Congress for emergency relief as virtually all cinemas across the U.S. go dark due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It was a Cinemark theater.
I attended an afternoon showing...I and another person watched the movie...I sat far away from that person.
Starting on Wednesday, Cinemark decided to close all its theaters....
I don't think the federal government should bail out every industry...I hope that the theaters will figure out a way to survive without the bailout...
Maybe Hollywood can bail them out!!!

Why don’t they ask Hollywood to rescue them. After all, they are all anti-Americans.
A business can’t survive if the government won’t allow them to open.
Lots and lots of businesses are going to be demanding relief because they won’t be allowed to operate for months.
HaHaHaHaHa....Why??? They are asking the wrong people. What gives you authority to ask someone to steal from another to pay you when your own Jackasses brought this about? Ask the local mayors and governors, let them pay you while they steal more money form you to do it. Fool!!!!
This is such a great pathway to Socialism. Since society controls our operation, society must share our burdens.

Come on, a bailout, really? Maybe the movie theater business was long overdue for a paradigm shift. With streaming services and big cheap TVs, movie theaters are no longer really necessary. They basically exist as an outing destination for children, teens and young adults on dates. That’s it. Sink or swim, folks.
What about bars and restaurants? They are next as governors are forcing them to all close.

I went strolling around town this evening and it's a sad sight seeing everything shut down. About the only traffic was food delivery drivers.
My entire way of making a living was yanked away. I am a vendor at fairs and festivals and all of our events have been cancelled.
This whole mess is very frustrating. Luckily we have $40 a week for food for the next three months until our next fair in mid June. Others in our business are not so lucky.
Here’s the problem. Operating at a loss in order to provide a public service is one thing. Sitting on your ass,begging like the bum on the corner is quite another.
No kidding.... everyone a bail out.
I suspect this will work.
Somewhere down the next 5-20 yrs from now, we’ll be so used to bail outs, hand outs, that there will be nothing left and just like the Great Depression..nothing will work and we shall be penniless for decades and miserable. That is what happened the 20-30 yrs leading up to the GD.
