But of the 508 patients known to have been hospitalized, 38 percent were notably younger between 20 and 54. ...
54 is now classified as younger? What, younger than Bernie Sanders?
Yes, 54 is “younger”. Especially based on initial reports that this only kills people who are over 80.
This study is only sampling the first 2500 cases. Remember, not just anyone was testing for it at first. Many of these 38% young cases are likely people with preexisting conditions, like I heard there was one young guy who had leukemia who got it and died.
Knowing the Times, 192 patients are between 50-54 and the other one is 20. Like they do with “shot children “. Most are 15-19 essentially adults, with a couple young ones thrown in to convince the masses that toddlers are being gunned down.
It is also a rather long range of ages. How is hospitalization being defined? Is an ER visit that lasts over a certain number of hours counted? How long was the average stay? How many had underlying health issues?
HEY! Shup!
Im 52, and now I’m ‘younger’. Best news ive had all month!!
54 is now classified as younger?
They’ve been calling those 50+ years old “Elderly” for weeks now, implying the danger is confined to those already at death’s doorstep. People have gotten an exaggerated view as to the extent to which that is true.
If the infection totals matched this years estimate of the flu, based on CDC numbers from February and the 2010 Census:
320,000,000
*10% infection rate
32,000,000
Age count CDC chart .. .. Dead
20s 37.3M *0.1% ... ... 3,500
30s 43.2M *0.2% ... ... 9,000
40s 42.5M *0.4% ... ..17,000
50s 31.1M *1.3% ... .. 40,000
60s 20.3M *3.6% ... .. 73,000
70s 16.3M *8.0% .. ...130,000
80+ 9.2M *14 % .. ....128,000
... ... ... ... ... .. 404,000
As you can see, the shift in fatalities towards the elderly is not as strong as is implied. And for working age folk in their 60s is about 60% in numbers from those in their 80s.
Are you behind the times? 54 is the new 34.
