A county in Colorado issued a shelter-in-place order Wednesday in an effort to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
San Miguel County’s shelter in place order will be in effect until at least April 3 at the discretion of the public health director, according to the county’s announcement.
As part of its mitigation plan, San Miguel officials will also test the entire county for COVID-19. The testing will be offered free of charge and will be administered by the county public health department.
“We know just testing is not enough to fight this virus. If we invest in the short-term inconveniences of isolation and sheltering-in-place now, we will save lives,” Grace Franklin, the county's public health and environment director, said in a statement.

Telluride is in San Miguel. The National Guard was present downtown this morning and is there for a while.

How does this logic not apply to car accidents? Will they force the entire county to "shelter in place" to "save lives" by preventing car accidents?
So EVERYONE shelters in place THEN people go back outside one person has the virus and we are back to square one because NO ONE has any immunity to it having not been infected and recovering!!

Sounds like they are doing this simply because they CAN. All over the country they are beating the sheeple into submission by terrifying them, shutting everything down including the economy, and systematically destroying our livelihoods and our futures. If people were dropping dead in the streets it would be terrifying. But it’s more frightening what they are doing to us all in the name of this virus because they CAN. What’s the real agenda? What will be left of the USA in 6 months?
I went to Safeway today to buy a few items and there was nothing there. Shelves empty, aisle after aisle. What the hell? Unemployment going through the roof. Are they going to confiscate what’s left of our retirement funds next? This is just dangerous as hell. Unrest, looting and violence are just around the corner.
A woman I know told me her daughter works at a bank and that people are withdrawing from their accounts by the boatload. Not much of that in the news. Where does this end? What will be left when it’s over?
The Safeway trip freaked me out a bit. I’m trying to stay sane but today was rough.
At work someone asked if anyone knew anybody with it and nobody did. None of my family do either however it shows we have 3 cases (that we know of because they aren’t doing a lot of testing) and almost 200 in the next county over.
Didn’t the president say not to hoard, don’t worry about food the stores will be open and shelves stocked? I stopped Tuesday late night to see if they had any water and bread yet. Bread yes, water no except for “Life WTR” which I looked up Pepsi co owns it and calls it creative water. I don’t get it, are they talking about the picture of flowers on the bottles? Must be. Anyways I stopped 6 feet from a friendly worker acquaintance to chat about the X tape markings on the floor and a woman in a motorized cart came up behind us going past while coughing. A very congested sort of cough. Err.
My state has a “mandatory” 14-day quarantine for anyone returning from several CO counties, and the states of NY, and CA.
