Since the ChiComs wouldn’t come clean we’re having to figure it out on the fly. Which is why everyone is erring towards worst-case scenarios.

Well if Trump is re-elected and we truly have a Marshall Plan to resurrect domestic manufacturing of most Chinese made essential things like medical equipment and drugs imagine what a 20% unemployment rate in China with 1 billion people means. Mother of all revolutions, we may have global warming because of the 100’s of millions of bodies decomposing. But then again if we get Biden, we’ll be back to dependent, neutered Soyboys like under Obama and we can slap the shackles back on.

Thank you for posting this!

I like this part

“All of the foregoing comes down to this: compared to other pandemics, COVID-19 is relatively benign in that it poses a threat primarily to persons 65 or older and persons with co-morbidities. It’s not a catastrophically fatal 1918 Spanish flu that wiped out young and old alike and appears to be about as statistically fatal as the seasonal influenza A. And although it could possibly threaten to overwhelm our medical facilities, that’s a problem that our nimble free-market system is particularly well-equipped to solve.”

WuFlu Fright will kill more than WuFlu virus.

Added Gina Kolata’s Flu to my library. Its a study of the great flu pandemic of 1918.

The past is prologue to the present. Once in a lifetime thingy.

I have a new tagline. And that encapsulates my concern.

This isn’t some plague that has a 50% mortality rate that would force us to nearly immolate ourselves to be rid of it and save ourselves.

But we may be burning down everything and plunging us into a dark pit of hunger, want, and misery to get rid of it.

And I don’t think that is the right approach.

Just calm down and relax we have two weeks where we need to be laying low and isolated and let the government get a handle on testing and seeing who’s got it and who doesn’t and then will be able to move forward this is not rocket 🧬 science. But it’s close

Great article.

So once this blows over, the parts of the work-force that have become unemployed can resume careers in manufacturing brought back from Red China.

The number of deaths are doubling every two days. The number of asymptomatic people is irrelevant.

Truth be told, it isn’t me I am concerned with. I have the disease in context, I have a medical background and the faculties to make reasoned choices that I feel are appropriate.

It is the media and political elements who want to ensure that this “crisis” doesn’t go to waste that concern me. We have clearly seen for the last three years they are not rational and will go to any length to be rid of President Trump.

Rationality and prudence are not foremost for them. I believe their purposes are much darker and more destructive than the virus itself.

I have not read any fiction in so long I can’t remember when...for about the last ten years, I only have been listening to biographies, non-fiction, and history. (I don’t read anymore, my eye just cannot do it)

But I will check that out-thank you for the recommendation!
