Since when is stopping our money from getting pi##ed away bad timing?
I’m in Finance and all I can say is that we’ve been pissing away money so bad, it no longer even matters. Billions, trillions, quadrillions, just add more zeroes to the dollars we have. Send out more helicopters, make it rain!
I agree the government pisses away our money. It’s what it does best. But the optics of what Paul is doing is terrible given that this legislation is aimed at propping up the economy under threat of what could become a very deadly epidemic in the US. In the end the legislation will be painful in the long term. But the public does not see this. The public wants to be protected and the public holds the fate of Trumps political career in its hands. Also the Republican majority Senate is at stake.
