The government rolled out a new set of restrictions on the Israeli population Tuesday and promised to increase the number of coronavirus tests it conducts each day in its fight to stop the spread of the potentially lethal virus.
At press time, 324 Israelis had been infected with COVID-19.
The bottom line of the new restrictions: Israelis are not allowed to leave their homes unless "absolutely necessary."

I think this holds true. Israel does an amazing job on limiting flu deaths too. This will be a good test on the mortality rate. Superior medical care and a zero death rate so far (not expected to last since they have critical cases).
They are not adverse to trying out new treatments either.
Aside from the CV-19 fight, many won’t realize it for a while, and many will even go euphoric over it (like leftists with Obama), but Israel is in real trouble.
The more leftist Gantz, whose party lost by greater margins than in previous elections against Likud and Netanyahu, and who has alrwady made deals with Arab factions within the Knesset, was just handed the reigns by Israel’s president.
This could really be the pivot point.

My understanding is, they have universal govt-provided health insurance ( with freedom to augment w private insurance). People like it. So the idea that such programs automatically turn a country into Venezuala doesn’t wash.

Israel is who I have been watching the closest throughout this entire ordeal.
I don’t think anyone yet knows how exactly bad this is going to be, but the fact the Israeli’s are taking it so seriously convinces me this is definitely much more than a political ploy to damage Trump and the economy.
