“Yeah, Doctors, nurses, paramendics and cops “recovering” with ruined lungs is just a big joke. LOL, pal.”

What in the f*ck is this idiot talking about? What damn jokes?

“(You should be ashamed, while brave and selfless Italian medical personal are sacrificing so much.)”

I love how one of the biggest panic mongers on FR is now talking about people needing to be “ashamed”.

“How dare you”, right?

I will tell you that I certainly do hope the economic mess you idiots help foster with your lunacy comes back to bite your family hard in the pocketbook. And that isnt a joke.

And seeing how many of you have been walking back the number of hysteria postings here, I can only assume that you started getting the message.

No, it’s just that now that even Trump & Team are fully on board, we are past the “try to wake up the ‘it’s just the flu’ “ morons.

Everybody gets the danger now, except the unreachable retard trolls.

See 44 for guidance.

Not really a good point, at all:

“They are people who do not smoke, who have no other conditions such as diabetes or heart failure,” Demeyer added.

I’m simply saying that COVID-19 damages the lungs and diminishes lung capacity, but so does every other respiratory illness, some of which I have had. Over time, the lungs heal and the capacity is restored. That’s normal. We haven’t even had time to determine that this reduced capacity is permanent. If you read the report carefully, they are speaking of a snapshot of time, right now, but report it as implying it’s a permanent thing, which no one knows. So for them to put out this panic inducing report is pure evil.

If you detected harshness, please be assured it was not at you. It was a the evil people that generated and put out this report.

7 deaths 1%
525 recovered 73.7%

You must have either a basic math error or you premises are incorrect.

Survivors+victims should be 100%.

Ayn Rand would tell you to check your premises...

If this is so, it is definitely not like the normal flu viruses.

Interesting...I noted this statement from the CDC COVID 19 summary.: "This is the first pandemic known to be caused by the emergence of a new[my emphasis] coronavirus. In the past century, there have been four pandemics caused by the emergence of novel influenza viruses."

My concern is on that point. I'm not sure anybody knows enough to justify not responding to this SOB in a very strenuous manner.

I guess you are saying breathing hurts your lungs to some degree. I guess to an extent that is true. That being said you (and doctors) would be hard pressed to look at the x-rays of a non smoker and vaper and tell which is which. With a smoker it is readily apparent.

“If you mean you were a healthy young doctor, nurse, paramedic, cop, firefighter, no, you are just surviving.

You won’t be returning to full duty to continue the fight.

You’ll be a semi-invalid like a WW1 mustard gas survivor.”

I will keep on questioning any story produced by the same main stream media that spent years telling me about Russian Collusion. I will question stories aimed at furthering the media’s agenda of driving fear.

Oh, look here the same story from six days ago.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/coronavirus-x-rays-show-terrifying-21672219

News from China saying that the Coronavirus is under control: “We can’t trust a thing coming out of China.”

News from China saying Coronavirus damages everyone’s lungs who have it: “News form China is sacrosanct.”

Whatever it takes to keep maximum fear and panic up I suppose.

I continue to maintain that there are two aspects to this virus:

1) Its actual spread, its effects, its mortality and the preventative measures that will flatten the curve. Also, the treatments being tested, used and their effects.

2) The reaction and its legitimacy.

It is possible to question No.2 without doubting No. 1. As of now the doctors and experts on the President’s team, even during the press conference today, are telling us that we just do not know enough about this virus to make definitive statements. Stories based on a doctor, whose credentials nobody can possibly check, based on a location that nobody can possibly know about, based on x-rays we haven’t seen or patients who nobody knows the medical history of, will get little credence from me other than as a fright tool.

Six days ago this story is from, six days ago. Where are all the new stories verifying this one? If they are out there, I would be open to considering this. Until then, I will exercise skepticism, which is a healthy questioning.

But, I suppose I am just not intelligent enough because I don’t rely on clever cartoons that convey no proof or information other than to ridicule the opposition. Hey, sounds just like something a certain side of political aisle is always doing to us.

The problem here is that it’s a novel (new) virus, so we don’t have any experience with how it is spread, or any long term effects, or any number of other questions.

As things progress, the truth will start to emerge, and the incorrect speculations will be set aside. Even the experts do not have all of the answers right now.

How about some good news? We do not live in a static world.

These are drugs already on the market and showing progress: Favilavir, Actemra, REGN3048-3051, blood transfusions from survivors, hydrochloroquine, chloroquine, remdesivir, lopinavir, ritonavir, kaletra and aluvia.

-The vaccine will take a little longer but the H1N1 vaccine went from Initial Phase I human testing to 65 million doses being administered in less than six months.

-Dutch researchers have discovered a human antibody they believe “offers potential for prevention and treatment of COVID-19.”

-China has closed down its last coronavirus hospital. Not enough new cases to support them.

-China Death Rate Is Plummeting. .4 -.7

-All the Apple stores in China have reopened after being closed for one month amid the height of the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

- Doctors in India have been successful in treating Coronavirus. Combination of drugs used: Lopinavir, Retonovir, Oseltamivir along with Chlorphenamine. They are going to suggest same medicine, globally.

- Researchers of the Erasmus Medical Center claim to have found an antibody against coronavirus.

- A 103-year-old Chinese grandmother has made a full recovery from COVID-19 after being treated for 6 days in Wuhan, China.

-South Korea is finally seeing a decline in the number of new cases of the novel coronavirus, though it should be noted they have seen an emerging cluster in Seoul.

- Apple reopens all 42 china stores.

- Cleveland Clinic developed a COVID-19 test that gives results in hours, not days.

- Good news from South Korea, where the number of new cases is declining and deaths are going down.

- Italy is hit hard, experts say, only because they have the oldest population in Europe.

- Scientists in Israel likely to announce the development of a coronavirus vaccine.

- 3 Maryland coronavirus patients fully recovered; able to return to everyday life.

- A network of Canadian scientists are making excellent progress in Covid-19 research.

- A San Diego biotech company is developing a Covid-19 vaccine in collaboration with Duke University and National University of Singapore.

- Tulsa County’s first positive COVID-19 case has recovered. This individual has had two negative tests, which is the indicator of recovery.

- All 7 patients who were getting treated for at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi have recovered.

- Plasma from newly recovered patients from Covid -19 can treat others infected by Covid-19.

- There are over 90 pharmaceutical companies working on a cure and vaccine, several are showing great progress (not factored into the death rate), Favilavir, Remdesivir, Actemra, REGN3048-3051, HIV Drugs, Chloroquine, blood transfusions from survivors, etc

- Australian scientists map how immune system fights the virus. This will lead to quicker cures. Also, doctors can tell if you’ll recover quickly to determine whether to hospitalize.

- US Lifts Limits on Telehealth Services for 62 Million Medicare Recipients

So it’s not ALL bad news. Let’s care for each other and stay focused on safety of those most vulnerable.

They are responding to your hysterics, which you all are now bitching about how heavy handed that response it.

Hopefully your kids are thanking you for screwing up their employment too. Or maybe if they can still travel, their old bedrooms are still available for them to live in again.

It is mostly true that “only old people get the virus AND DIE” with the operative words being “and die”

True, of course---and you mean to tell the Brian Kilmeade person, not me.

I fear any exposure of that virus to my wife who has low kidney function and diabetes. The virus could slow down a young person for a week but could kill someone like her--God forbid. It apparently works on destroying the kidneys after the lungs. Horrible.

Why aren’t more people asking for an explanation as to the unprecedented draconian actions being taken by both state and federal government agencies across the globe, to counter the spread of this virus?

Isn’t anyone curious?

My humble opinion is that this is a bioengineered weapon’s grade (enhanced) virus, let loose upon the globe by a worse case scenario lab accident or an unthinkable diabolical intentional act of war or sabotage.

I’m not buying a zoonotic cause as the source of origin. If it originated in any country other than China, maybe I would accept an animal to human virus transfer occurred. There’s just too many coincidences to point to, involving mischievous Chinese scientists suspected of stealing and or engineering corona virus variants.
