Speaking as an old guy on SS, how about just reverting to when SS was NOT taxed, so oldsters can get some benefit that makes sense instead of just $1k in a giveaway?

That and bring back the Interest on savings deduction. Used to be $600 before taxes kicked in (Mid 80’s). It should be twice that now...............
