Gov. Tom Wolf is announcing sweeping changes to battle coronavirus infections statewide.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The governor is extending restrictions statewide to battle COVID-19 infections.

All non-essential businesses are urged to close.

Non-essential businesses according to the state include community and recreation centers; gyms, including yoga, barre, and spin facilities; hair salons, nail salons and spas; casinos; concert venues; theaters; bars; sporting event venues and golf courses; retail facilities, including shopping malls and except for pharmacy or other health care facilities within retail operations.

Restaurants are urged only to remain open for carry-out and delivery orders.

Similar restrictions were put in place over the weekend in the Philadelphia area and are now in effect for the whole state.

Essential services such as supermarkets, pharmacies, and health care will remain open.

Gov. Wolf said he hoped to lift the restrictions in two weeks.

Interesting that he thinks the restrictions could be lifted in two weeks — for three reasons:

1. Closing public places for two weeks to deal with a viral pandemic is absolutely pointless.

2. He probably figured that two weeks is the maximum period of time the restrictions can be in place before people tell him to ‘eff himself and start going about their normal daily lives again.

3. He already knows the impact of this pandemic is going to be minimal, and he’s looking to make an appearance on MSNBC two months from now and claim that his emergency orders saved the lives of 500 million people in Pennsylvania alone.

Hey PA, how are enjoying a governor that has turned out to be an uber liberal control freak? How long before this clown declares the Republican Party outlawed to stop the spread of coronavirus. I kid, but seriously, this guy is trending toward using this for his ultimate wish list that he could never get passed in the legislature.

Remember, the only branch of government that matters to the left is the one they control.

All State Liquor Stores closed too. That won’t go over well in PA.

Head to Indiana.
Walmart was stocked to the roof with beer, wine, and booze.
I was shocked at how much inventory they brought in.
No milk, bread, or eggs though.

Comrade Wolf has no authority to close anything NOT government owned or operated. IF a business closes, it will be 100% voluntary.

Gov. Tom wolf of Pa is sitting in NY Comos pocket....Como’s leading the charge on all states that borders his, Now playing the role of Pres. of the upper East Coast. in the tri-state+Pa. areas.

He wants the Gov. to step in because he wouldn’t do what was neccessary in getting and obtaining the medical supplies earlier when his state was escualting in cases. Like California they wait until they’re in trouble and a threat to the people then beg the Gov to do something. ..and the revenus then flows again.

I beg to differ sir. He is currently setting the pace.

Closing liquor stores. Brilliant. Except not so much. Now, what he has done is two-fold. First, he has created the ULTIMATE mass event. Everyone and anyone is going to be swamping those stores in the next 23 hours. Next, he will be de facto sending everyone across the PA border to purchase in NJ or another neighboring state.

The more these idiots try to do, the more they accomplish the exact opposite. This is a truly amazing sight to behold. Amazing.

They’ll stay open until they don’t have enough traffic to justify the expense of staying open. Especially the smaller stores.
