Well if there is more to the story, they had better tell us. Because if they think they can take steps this drastic while keeping us in the dark, they are idiots. This will not last a week. I don't pretend to speak for all Americans, but I do base it on American history.

Likely something that we’re really better off not knowing. Besides the benefit of having time to ‘get our affairs in order’, how does knowing something really ugly is heading our way make things better? As it is, toilet paper and paper towels have vanished from store shelves—and I’m living in a state with 6 cases of Wuhan virus. I can’t imagine the stores in the Seattle area.

I’ve read that we’re about two weeks behind Italy on the ‘curve’. Hopefully, we’ll be better able to cope that Italy has. We’ll just have to wait and see.
