The White House on Monday denied that it’s considering a national curfew in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
“That’s not even in the realm of things we’re asking governors for,” said Katie Miller, a spokeswoman for Vice President Mike Pence, who is leading the Trump administration’s response to COVID-19.
“There are a lot of rumors,” Miller said. “I promise you, I’m sitting in every single meeting… so I can give you guys a yes or no.”
Jim Scuitto of CNN tweeted Monday morning: “There are active discussions within the Trump administration to encourage a possible ‘curfew’ across the nation in which non-essential businesses would have to close by a certain time each night.”

I don’t understand the logic of imposing a curfew for health reasons.
Seems like martial law would be more efficient than a half-step curfew (No, Im not *advocating* martial law.)
With a curfew, wouldn’t people still be spreading it, only earlier in the evening?
Don’t most older, frail people keep earlier hours anyway?
Of course, if the primary objective is to tank the economy & facilitate rioting, shutting down nightlife makes perfect sense.

That's meaningless. "Within the Trump Administration" could literally include any of the hundreds of thousands of people employed within the Executive Branch. And if two of them are talking among each other about it, that's a "discussion within the Trump Administration".
More importantly, the federal government would lack any power to enforce a national curfew anyway. The only entities capable of enforcing that are state/local police, and they are under the sole control of governors -- the President has no authority at all to "nationalize" them.

Oh - BTW - they're saying this in their "PanCAP Adapted U .S. Government COVID- 19 Response Plan:" - "A pandemic will last 18 months or longer and could include multiple waves of illness." - Yes - that is a DIRECT quote from the White House Team (HHS Secretary).

And here you guys were blaming EVERY DEMOCRAT for their actions - when all they were doing was following the directions of the Trump team (which is what I tried to tell you people was going on). Shame on you.
Then go to the WH and offer your services. Because I have a copy of the response plan - and it isn’t what you all have been predicting. So - you guys need to vote third party because Trump isn’t smart enough to put good people in charge.
