With all the money the government wastes on non tax paying Americans I don't blame you for wanting a little for yourself. The bureaucrats misplace or lose more money then this would cost.

Actually, I don’t want the money. I don’t mind the federal government mitigating their own damage though.

In this case, the government has forced shutdowns of businesses. That is a “taking”, and we should compensate businesses for that. If we had a way of doing it, i would give money to any business that had to send workers home due to coronavirus, if that money was used to pay those workers for their average weekly salary as if they were working.

This would mitigate some of the impact of the virus. Business could then be taken care of with tax credits, to some degree.
