One thing I’ll always remember is Michael quite forcefully stating that his dad would introduce him as his son people would sometimes “correct” Ron by saying “you mean your adopted son”.
He said his dad would get very angry and state fiercely that Michael was his SON. PERIOD.

Michael also stated that his dad treated all of his kids the same. Each kid was expected to work and learn the value of work and saving.

I think Ron Jr suffered from youngest child syndrome.
The youngest child for some reason acts up when they don’t think they get enough attention/love/stuff.

There is no such thing as fossil fuels.

Yeah, there's a reason they call it that. The microscopic fossils of diatoms...the algae that turns into the goo which is crude oil.

When oil drillers find them in their tailings, they can predict there is oil to be found there.

I remember asking my mother about why it seems the youngest seems spoiled when compared to the elder siblings.

She sighed and said, “sometimes, the parents just get tired of the arguing.”

In my household my father was at fault because he wanted to keep the kids dependent upon him to a degree. I recall the heartache it caused my mom because she knew it would only cause the growing up process become harder for the child/children in question. Because she had to be the to try to undo that damage she often appeared to be meaner. Not very fair, I thought that she had to have that role put on her.

Now, from what I recall, I agree with your assessment about the youngest in reference to my beloved husband’s deceased father.

Joe says solar and wind costs are lower than coal.

JoeMentia - the Mount Everest of Stupid.

He gets away with it because the Democrat Media doesn't fact-check Democrats.

I think it's commendable that you've befriended the intelligence-challenged.

ANYBODY but Trump is in there - we'll have fanatical partisan Democrat federal judges ruling the country from the bench, or their Bushie-type 98-0 fellow travelers.

Why would Fox News hire Donna Brazille, a known liar and cheater (handed out debate questions to Hillary)?

""Yeah, there's a reason they call it that"".

If I may interject, the main reason the lying leftist often refer to that term is because it infers, "Old", "old fashioned" "Nasty dirty old school energy" "Precious artifacts white redneck devils are trying to exploit"

If the Dems were truly interested in reducing our reliance on carbon based fuels, they would support nuclear energy. This Green New Deal is all about power and control, not addressing climate change. The Greens are like watermelons, green on the outside and red inside. They are communists.

A friend of mine was a radio producer who worked with Michael Reagan. My friend is a FLAMING liberal, though a dear friend who I love spending time with. Seriously, his “liberalism” is the old school stuff, not the hateful, anti-American liberalism of today. Anyway, he spent a lot of time with Michael and knew him well. Some of the inside stories I have heard of the Reagan family, and the theft of the Reagan Ranch, from Michael’s point of view, are amazing. Ronald Reagan might have treated his kids the same, but Nancy didn’t, and after Ronald’s death, Michael got screwed. When Nancy was First Lady, I had a lot of respect for her. Now, not so much.

Didn't think of it that way, but yeah.

I don't know what stimulants Biden was on, but he was up for this debate. Well, in early senility there are better days and worse days.

I’ve known several families where one parent had to be the disciplinarian because the other parent always gave in. One was in my own family.
Kids learn quickly to play one parent against the other in such situations.

One sibling kept pushing buttons because she wanted my dad to crack down on her, which he never did. She regrets to this day her actions.

One sibling excelled at playing my dad for all it was worth. It damn near caused a divorce. To this day my dad doesn’t see any of the damage done by his inaction...

As for me, I caught the most flake. Never did understand it. Never seemed to be able to get his approval for much, if anything at all. Just learned to live with it.

My mom passed at only 49. How I miss her...

Wow, great scoop of inside information.
I always thought something was a little “off” about Nancy.
She was very protective of her husband and how he was treated.
She probably suffered from “Second Wife Syndrome” where it came to children from a previous marriage.
Not exactly a wicked witch but favoring her own children over the others.
I listened to Michael on his radio show when I was truck driving.
Always liked his show. Not as polished as most but he seemed like a guy you wanted to hang out with.

I grew up with a guy who has worked in the White House for 35 years. He wasn’t in contact with the First Families every day but he became fairly high on the WH food chain.
The stories he tells.

He said Nancy ALWAYS kept her ears and eyes open for any sign of dissension in the ranks. From advisors to cabinet members even down to the janitorial staff. If Nancy thought she caught a whiff of disloyalty from you it was best to walk the straight and narrow.
He said Reagan was just like you saw on tv except with a great sense of humor. RR would crack a joke with anyone at any level of the food chain and was genuinely the humblest person he had the honor to meet.
He has always said if the general public saw the everyday Reagan no one would have hated him.
