Rod, agree entirely. Trump has been forced into overreacting by the politicization of the "crisis." Our economy is being ravaged losing trillions of dollars. And Deep State has cemented its role as the indispensable agent for our survival. We are being run by technocrats who can't seem to do a proper risk/benefit analysis for our current approach. There are limits on how much we can spend to save one life. This is just another version of the flu and when the data finally comes out, we will see a lot lower mortality rate than is currently being touted.

Deep State is in a win-win solution. If the numbers don't materialize as predicted, then the measures we took mitigated the disaster. If the numbers get worse than expected, then Deep State can claim that not enough was done and that we need a massive investment of government funds to reform our health care delivery system to manage the next pandemic.

Personally, I am pissed off they canceled March Madness. I was down in Miami March 1-2 to attend an Eros Ramazotti concert. Not long after that Miami canceled all concerts.

In the meantime, Pelosi is erecting more Xmas trees in the form of coronavirus funding bills that include all kinds of goodies for Dem constituencies. Never let a crisis go to waste.
