The US-Mexico border could be shut down to contain the coronavirus outbreak - by Mexico, health officials said.
Mexico, where there are 26 confirmed cases, is preparing to ban non-essential services like classes and seminars this weekend to prevent spread, among other measures.
The US, where there 2,174 cases and 47 deaths, is a danger to the county, its health minister said Friday.
“If it were technically necessary to consider mechanisms of restriction or stronger surveillance we would have to take into account not that Mexico would bring the virus to the United States, rather that the United States could bring it here,” Deputy Health Minister Hugo Lopez-Gatell said.

Yes, repatriating sounds more PC than deporting them. The 25% of the Mexican population that is currently in the US, needs to go home, urgently go home, to avoid catching coronavirus here in the US.
