While it is true that he died in Babylon, it's known that the sarcophagus and tomb was in Alexandria. Somehwere around FR there's a post or topic about this, couldn't find it, didn't look that hard:

According to Mr Chugg, the shocking inference following his new evidence is that the remains of St Mark the Evangelist within a coffin in the high altar in St Mark s in Venice might be that of Alexander the Great. Carbon dating and DNA test would possibly be a next logical step.............
