I saw an interesting article yesterday via twitter about the first point. It was written by an Epidemiologist and Virologist who both said it’s futile to think quarantining can largely stop this now. They based it upon this idea.
China “discovered” this new Coronavirus around 12/16 when they announced the supposed index case. Except at this time, they also announced the RNA sequence of the virus. By sequencing the RNA, that’s the only way to determine if the virus was “new”.
They postulate, given this, that the virus had to have made the zoonotic leap from animal to human in either August or September. So given the amount of time between then and December 16th, imagine how many people travelled from or through China.
Their point was, now we have to stop the spread by self-quarantining but we can’t expect this to not show up around the entire world.

The point is this — Not one person in the world, not Trump (not a President Joe Biden) is OMNISCIENT enough to know all these details you outlined.
To tell Trump ( or say, a President Joe Biden ) that he “should have” done this in November 2019 is to demand that he have the wisdom and foreknowledge of God.
The issue right now is this — GIVEN WHAT WE KNOW NOW, WHAT SHOULD WE BE DOING TO MINIMIZE the catastrophe?
*THAT* is the issue.
Given this, the question I have for critics is this -— WHAT MORE can Trump do than what he is already doing now? Anything missing?
