No, I am turning 60 next week, and I have never seen anything like this. Schools closing, colleges offering only online courses, talk of layoffs at airports and people’s salaries being subsidized. This all seems almost like a movie.
Why didn’t they do all this back in 2009?

Israel is not Europe. It has put in place its own travel ban. Go to Israel and you must go to a 14 day quarantine. Immediately.

Actually, not so easy these days to do it undetected. If you’re not paying a cartel for the escort (and ‘protection’), it’s next to impossible - at least on the southern border.
And then you’ll have to explain how you returned to the country...without any government record of your return.
Problem is planes from Europe would have to fly here empty in order to get Europeans vacationing here back to their countries.
Ironic that there’s a travel ban between the Europe and US. All sorts of nasty, once-controlled diseases have been coming into the US through our porous southern border for decades.

That’s what has me scratching my head, why wouldn’t Trump announce that we’re closing the Mexican and Canadian borders?
Well, they wont for long.
I do know one thing though. If I were any of these airlines within the USA. I would wait a while and then start to fly flights from lessor airports to places like Vegas, and Laughlin NV, etc. A flight from Marquette Michigan, for example, once a week might do well.
