CBS All Access, the networks streaming service, is launching a weekly animated series featuring real-world guests that will discuss and mock the news of the day, the network announced Wednesday.
Tooning Out the News" plans to release daily five- to seven-minute segments followed by a weekly full episode available every Friday. It launches Monday in the U.S. and Canada.
Confirmed guests include Reps. Barbara Lee (D-Texas), Donna Shalala (D-Fla.) and Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), as well as Dan Abrams, Alan Dershowitz, Thomas Friedman and Nicholas Kristof.
The fictional animated news show is hosted by an anchor named James Smartwood. He is joined by what the show describes as a team of attractive misunderstood geniuses."
After a successful negotiation between my forthright representation and a frankly insulting CBS business affairs department, Im pleased to report that I am now the lead anchor and chief senior managing director of news and miscellaneous serious stuff at Americas #1 source for news and Star Trek: CBS All Access, Smartwood said in a release from the network. Now that Im on the air, I have a stark warning to every power player in Washington: I will suck up to you for access thats a promise."

All “Ds” and Never-Trumpers (with the possible exception of Dershowitz)?
Sounds like another anti-conservative propaganda show masquerading as comedy, in the style of The Daily Show or Colbert.
Anybody remember Adult Swims Lil Bush - a delightful and satirical take on the politics of the day?
Yeah - remember Lil Obama?
Looks like a you g Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead.....only no as funny...or cleaver.
HA!
No bias there, no sir!
The prog propaganda just gets weirder and weirder.
.
Joseph Goebbels would be proud.
Dershowitz is an old time liberal, a rare breed, he certainly isn’t a conservative or even a fan of Trump.
He defended Trump because it was the right thing to do and because the impeachment was a scam.
Lil Bush was actually funny though
And I think they had a show called “that’s my bush” as well
Certainly poking fun at the president, which is fine by me
But nobody created sketch comedy regard Obama though, none of those shows existed
I think they made a Trump one as well on comedy central. Saw it once and it was just awful. They just don’t get Trump’s personality, they make it what they want him to be and that was why it was pathetic.
I remember a short-run series on Comedy Central titled "That's My Bush!"
It was neither delightful nor satrical. It was wall-to-wall Bush-bashing, which would have been OK if it had even a little humor.
Enemedia grows...
“and mock the news of the day”
So, mostly making fun of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh?
Look to see more of them, its their aim to do whatever they can to prevent a Trump re-election.
Just about all adult comedy is aimed for democrats against Trump and conservatives.

Rules for Radicals #5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."
CBS is using the Alinsky playbook.
Just mocking the clowns on CBS This Morning could fill the show.
Barbara Lee (D-Texas), Donna Shalala (D-Fla.) and Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.)
There’s three to draw to.
Its CBS All Access. Almost nobody pays for it.

Especially if you control / own most of the news media and you have the FBI, DOJ? and the AG?, in your corner.
Oh, and Judges.
