And old acquaintance of mine LEFT North Dakota yet ALL SHE DID was talk about how wonderful it was. She gave me 1001 different excuses for NOT returning.
The latest one is that the once $4,000.00 home is now $40,000.00 because of the petroleum boom.
Google:The North Dakota oil boom refers to the period of rapidly expanding oil extraction from the Bakken formation in the state of North Dakota that lasted from the discovery of Parshall Oil Field in 2006, and peaked in 2012, but with substantially less growth noted since 2015 due to a global decline in oil prices.
None of her friends EVER went there. Her mother invited us ALL THE TIME but...it's hottern Hades in the summer and cold as Antarctica in the winter. There IS no spring or fall to speak of.

Take your fake news someplace else.
The "fake" news comes right off the Internet. But, maybe you don't get it where you are so your ignorance about your home state is understandable.
==================================
I'll have to tell my friend that she knows SQUAT about her home state and YOU know far more than she does. Lol. She'll love hearing that. I'll tell her that ONE North Dakotan exists and s/he calls her/himself the Last Dakotan. MOST appropriate, obviously.
