Brevity.
Biden's event in St. Louis, framed by the Gateway Arch, clocked in at about seven minutes Saturday. A short time later, at a windswept event in Kansas City, people were streaming toward their cars after Biden wrapped up in 12 minutes. His longest speech of the weekend, in the gym of Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi, didn't quite make 15 minutes.
It is a seismic shift for Biden, 77, who in five decades of political office and three White House runs has never had a reputation for breviloquence. It's a habit perhaps nurtured in the Senate, which prides itself on limitless debate and has a special term - filibuster - for talking endlessly.
In his shortened speeches, Biden still touches on his platform points, takes subtle jabs at Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and makes more than a few passing references to former president Barack Obama - he just does it all much faster.

My sources in the Biden camp tell me that Joes future speeches will be limited to just six words:
Me good. Trump bad. Bye bye.
Like the short speech with the auto worker?
Really? He couldn’t even get his name right the other day.
I’m Obiden Bama and I am running for President.
If Biden gets the Dem nomination, should he participate in debates he will get the debate questions in advance and probably be allowed to have written answers on paper in front of him.
in 2016 Clinton’s speeches were short, about 15 to 20 minutes, then she was whisked away. She also held small rallies. It looks like the Biden campaign is using the Clinton playbook.
I watch Clueless Joe last night at his Mini-Rally in Detroit. He looked bad - pale and confused. When he left the stage he moved slow and was disoriented.
What is the Biden campaign going to say when Old Joe is rushed to the nearest Hospital after one of his appearances?
Contrast that with a Trump rally, where the President speaks for 2 hours straight, no breaks, stands the entire time, and finishes the rally just as strong as he was at the start.
I cant wait for the insider account detailing the pivotal moment in Bidens primary campaign - when his closest advisors convinced him that both remaining Dem candidates are so unlikeable the key to winning was to say the least and let the other self destruct.
Biden will get it wrong or that other thing.
He needs to stick to one syllable words, like “Hi, I’m plugs.”
“What is the Biden campaign going to say when Old Joe is rushed to the nearest Hospital after one of his appearances?”
That he was dehydrated.
Biden’s shorter speeches give fewer chances for gaffes

Of course wait until he has to debate someone.
Also, with a shorter speech, he doesn’t need to stand up as long. Apparently, he also has problems with standing up.
My name is Joe Biden,
I want to say how great it is to be here
I see old friends out there today.
So many faces
Yes, its good to be here at the home.
What time is bingo?
Damn, how I hate playing shuffleboard against those damn dog faces pmu soldiers.
Thank you for coming.
Tip your waiters.
What is interesting about his “gaffes” are that they are not by any means simple mistakes of fact (”I am 6’4”” and not 5’11”, for example.) He concocts somewhat complex imaginary stories that are not at all true (e.g., getting arrested trying to visit Nelson Mandela.) He has been doing this for at least 34 years that I have witnessed (see flame-out from 1988 Presidential Primaries.) When I saw the C-SPAN video of A Day on the Campaign Trail with Sen. Joe Biden” In 1987 (late 1987 as he began to campaign for the 1988 primary) he went off on a member of the audience who had challenged his position on a policy matter. In stead of a factual counterpoint - Biden makes 4 statement of his academic greatness in law school. Biden’s argument was essentially “I am smarter than you are, therefore I am better than you are, ergo I win the argument.” The problem for Joe was that all 4 statements were demonstrably false.
