A California man who died of the novel coronavirus brought it on board the Grand Princess cruise ship, officials said Saturday, suggesting the virus has been in the state much longer than originally believed.
Dr. Grant Tarling, the cruises medical officer, said the man who later died in Placer County after leaving the cruise sought medical care on the ship Feb. 20 and had been sick for several days. Tarling said two waiters who served the man multiple times were subsequently infected.

“novel coronavirus “
WTF who rights this stuff?
this is often how it is with norovirus.
People think norovirus spreads on ships because ships are so very filthy.
But that’s not what is going on
One passenger walks on the ship with it, and a whole bunch of passengers who don’t wash their hands get it. While the crew who are trained to wash their hands are overwhelmingly fine, as the passengers who do the same.
coronavirus is novel because it is emergent, not seen before. No one has immunity
that is how it is being referenced by many because that is what it is.
I was researching tips to try to avoid it on a cruise. Seems pretty common. One guy said he sees a lot of the Asians wearing gloves and masks on cruises to avoid it.
Exactly, the WHO was calling it "novel coronavirus" before they switched to SARS-COV-II and COVID-19.
It sure seems as if this thing spreads pretty easily.
You get it just by handling a plate or silverware?
“You get it just by handling a plate or silverware?”
It survives on any surface, according to what I’ve read.
Whatever you do, don’t test positive for the coronavirus.
You’ll be a sitting duck for the deep state, who are seeking mortality numbers.
Use your cabin restroom when you can.
Soap and water or portable sanitizer for handrails on hallways and stairs, door handles (esp public restroom exit or use paper towel after wash), buffet utensils, handshakes, elevator buttons.
Good luck if someone sneezes or coughs without turning their head
So can you get it from eating a piece of food with virus on it that goes through your stomach versus eyes nose mouth?
Seems like tips to avoid norovirus are basically the same as to avoid Wuhan Flu
No, you can get it from touching any surface that has the live virus on it - then transferring that virus via touch to any of your mucous membranes (mouth, nose, eyes). You can also get it by being in the immediate presence of somebody coughing or sneezing who is already infected. Again, it enters the mucous membranes through the air.
This is why the recommendation has been to practice good hygiene and seek to keep a six-foot buffer from other people. Most coughs and sneezes project up to three feet.
There are currently two strains of the virus circulating - the "S" (Start) and "L" (Later).
The "S" strain is thought to spread less and be less virulent, while the "L" strain is thought to spread much more easily and be much more virulent.
Novel=new
i’m not sure, my assumptions could be all wrong.
Who knows?
Doesn’t stop me from typing though
You REALLY need to get out into the fresh air more often...
Are you saying the deep state wouldn’t resort to murdering people to get what they want?
There is some dispute about this. I posted a scientist who explained why there is a problem but I can’t grasp at the moment what it is.
I am going to see if I can find it.
But here is the study
