Vice President Mike Pence, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and hundreds of members of Congress attended a conference last month along with at least two people who have tested positive for a novel strain of coronavirus that has killed more than 3,000 people across the globe.
“We have confirmed that at least two Policy Conference attendees from New York have tested positive for the Coronavirus,” the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, known as AIPAC, said in a statement on Twitter.
This year’s AIPAC conference featured a who’s who of high-profile politicians, both from the U.S. and Israel. In addition to Pence and Netanyahu, the Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate, Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer also attended the three-day event.
The group held its annual conference in Washington, D.C. from March 1-3.

There have already been tweets by people indicating a willingness to infect people they don’t agree with politically. In this age of #MEMEANDONLYME I could easily imagine people who would do it without hesitation if for no other reason than to selfishly take as many people with them as they could.

Not likely. Hysteria is much more contagious than this virus.
I’m not hysterical. I’m posting from the balcony of my room at an all inclusive resort in Gran Canaria. When we go to our meals we don’t see people walking around in face masks and surgical gloves. I went to a local market this morning to get my wife some English Breakfast tea and there was plenty of toilet paper on the shelves. I can see people down on the beach. Nothing at all like the pictures I see in American stores. You people need to get a grip.
I’m with you. Imagine this is 2012 and Obongo is facing re-election. The MSM coverage would be completely different. Instead of losing 5-7% like Trump he would have gained 5-7% because of his terrific handling and keeping it contained.
All of this is pure hysteria. There are many forces at work who want this virus to help agendas:politicians,governments,business,investors who have interest. I don’t minimize this but the reactions/actions is what will shape things.

The article says “last month” in the first paragraph but later says the conference was March 1-3?
When I was in third grade, a friend’s cousin had the mumps.
But the hysteria is being driven by your own media and Twitter/Facebook whackos. Where I am in Spain the media realize that killing the golden goose of tourism hurts everyone. In America a ruined economy is just a bump in the road back to power. You can see the difference in the attitudes of the people.
