Is the water going to be turned off? I bet 90% of these new “emergency preppers” still don’t even have a pump action shotgun. Ewwwwwww, scary guns!!!

“Is the water going to be turned off?”

If The SHTF in a big way, the people who run the utilities might not be real diligent about hauling their rears into work the next morn. I believe that’s the reasoning.

A buddy of mine used to own a gun shop out west and he told me that the preppers would congregate at his gun shop and tell tales of their large stashes. Finally someone asked him what he was hoarding and he said "nothing." They were all aghast. "I don't need to," he explained. "You all told me what you have and I have all the guns so I'll just come and take what I need from you."

My takeaway:

First rule of prepping: don't tell people about your prepping.
Second rule of prepping: be prepared to defend your stash.
