At the ground zero in Hubei province, divide actual number of infections confirmed by population of Hubei province, and you get 0.1%. Something to keep in mind without freaking out. 0.1% is what their mouths say.
Their hands say something totally different: People welded into high rise apartment buildings. Thousand herded into "treatment centers" with open wards, no medical care, no toilets or food. 60 million under lock down quarantine (and they don't let their equivalents of Kaci Hickox go out for pizza)! They've shut down most of their economy. They've brought 40 FORTY! industrial incinerators to Wuhan to dispose of "medical waste".
You want us to bet our lives that they are lying with their hands and speaking truth with their Communist mouths?
No sale here, pal.
Feel free to bet your own life. It IS a free country here.

This stuff will be put up on craiglists, let go, and other peer to peer selling apps (the big guys like Amazon and ebay suspended all listings regarding coronavirus)That would make sense if anybody was actually selling the stuff that way. I only found this one ad for toilet paper: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/hsh/d/saint-paul-toilet-paper/7088409576.html

[Yes, it seemed full. Especially the buffets were always crowded. And the lounge where adult comedians were was standing room only. Funny I never saw a single person wearing mask on the Carnival Ecstasy ship, but saw a few wearing masks in port after disembarking at Jacksonville cruise terminal. Every other cruise I have taken always had that washy-washy girl spraying hand sanitizer on your hands, but no such person on this ship. All they had was a dispenser near the entrance to buffet but very few were using it.]
Thanks. Was this a last minute booking, or was this months in advance? If last minute, was it a good deal?

My guess is panic is mostly on west coast in places like Seattle where most infections have occurred and has a large population of rich Chinese people who can afford to travel.

If you have better data from Hubei, please post it here!
1. You will NEVER get accurate data from the Communist Chinese if there is even a chance that it will reflect badly on them or affect negatively their agenda.
2. Do yourself a favor when you are trying to make a point that you put a disclaimer that the data you are basing your OPINION on is foundationally flawed. You will have more credibility that way.

Yesterday, I was feeling a little sick; coughing, wheezing, slight headache, so I didn’t go to work.
I knew I had the corona when I got this sudden urge to go out and buy a hundred rolls of toilet paper.
I’m feeling much better today, though.
Does anybody need any toilet paper?

A buddy of mine used to own a gun shop out west and he told me that the preppers would congregate at his gun shop and tell tales of their large stashes. Finally someone asked him what he was hoarding and he said "nothing." They were all aghast. "I don't need to," he explained. "You all told me what you have and I have all the guns so I'll just come and take what I need from you."
My takeaway:
First rule of prepping: don't tell people about your prepping.
Second rule of prepping: be prepared to defend your stash.

Ignore China
Look at the rest of the data
This thing isn’t that bad
Sure it is deadly to at risk people and those people are at risk of dying from the flu.
I am not saying we should not be concerned, and we should def monitor and take action, I believe the president is doing everything right and took early action against people coming here from infected areas, while the left was calling him racists, bigot, insensitive, hitler, you know the normal stuff and were still trying to impeach him.
But hey, if you want to get your news from CNN, go for it. It is a free country to be ill informed

My shopping list: TP, PT, bottled water, and lottery tickets.
To: Zhang Fei
ALWAYS and I mean always, we book only last minute cruises, if there is deep discount. That is a benefit of living in Florida. 40 minutes drive to cruise terminal in Jacksonville and 90 minutes from Port Canaveral. The previous cruise 3 months ago was discounted to $100 per person on Norwegian for a 5 day cruise. Because it was scheduled to sail for Cuba and that got cancelled. Add port taxes of courses of about $130/pp and tips. These 5 day cruises cost us $600-650 for two. We can barely get a decent hotel room for 5 nights for that money. And you must buy all your food and entertainment.
