This is dangerous thinking on your part. They are not the same. You have to ask yourself this question:
Why is every government on the face of the earth going to such extreme measures to stop Covid-19? Every single government has instituted travel restrictions, mass quarantines, shut down schools and businesses and generally BEHAVED and SAID that this needs to be stopped. Every. Single. Government. There's virtually no disagreement among any type of governmental system.
To help you figure this out figure out what percentage of people get ill enough to require hospitalization and ICU treatment. I'll tell you: It's more than any nations healthcare system can handle. That's not even counting the problems we're already having getting products from affected areas.
If you haven't prepared to be on your own in at least a quarantine situation you haven't been watching what's happening in the world.
If one government is trustworthy, a couple hundred should be even more so.
We have our own flu to worry about, now we have to deal with the Chinese Communist Wuhan virus as well?
The Communist Chinese must pay dearly for this. Tariffs need to increase once again until all manufacturing is brought back to the USA. All Communist Chinese students and workers must be deported. No more ties with this filthy brutal dictatorship.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
I don't know ... every time a major storm is predicted I run out to buy bread and milk, board up my windows and prepare to evacuate if the order is given. And it's just the same with tsunamis.
Once you have had the flu, you will know the difference between the flu and a cold. Until then, a bad cold can seem like the flu.
How many of those ‘flu deaths’ were early covid deaths that weren’t tested?
This has been circulating a while. We’ve likely had deaths from it already that just weren’t diagnosed.
Do not believe the hype and panic coming from “experts” and the MSM.
Like the flu and common cold, there is no “cure” for Covid-19. Does it need to be taken seriously? Of course - just like the flu and common cold should be. So what to do?
1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
2. Do not touch mucus membranes (eyes, nose, mouth) with your hands.
3. If you are feeling sick, stay home.
4. If you are feeling really sick, call your doctor.
5. If you are sick, do not sneeze or cough on anyone. If you need to sneeze or cough, cover your nose and mouth before doing so. Covid-19 is NOT airborne, so you need to come into contact with someone else’s bodily fluid in order to contract it.
6. Do not allow anyone to sneeze or cough on you. If they do, immediately cleanse the droplets from your person, being careful not to touch any mucus membranes.
Only time will tell, but like all of the other health scares, this too shall pass. The Covid-19 season will be over as soon as the weather warms up. Just like flu and cold season comes and goes. And the MSM will find something else to panic about so they can sell newspapers and clicks.

Probably some, but there is no way to know. Flu is not a reportable sickness, so these are just estimates.
I detect your sarcasm, friend, even without the sarcasm tag. But remember this: when disaster strikes, I’ll be down here suffering hell on earth trying to keep a spark of life in my body, while you’re up there in Paradise, having a good old time. Fine, if that’s what you really want!

Because governments are driven by the people. The people started to panic, so the governments are making a show of “doing something”. It’s a dog and pony show. They know it. But it’s better than getting overthrown.
Based on your figures, it would appear that we need to stop quarantining people and lift the travel restrictions. Is that what you are proposing?
