Part of the Dem base (especially in the NYC metro area, but I suspect this is the case in many urban pockets) are pedestrians reliant on public transportation. While NYC increases mass transit fares, they also instituted a “fair fare” program so lower-income commuters pay less. They’ve injected socialism into mass transit...
seriously thought this was the babylon bee.....more time witk your children (at least those that were’t murdered in the womb).
See, keep talking like this and you won't need a vacation in a re-education camp.
Math is hard.
A vote for Democrats is a vote for lower traffic volumes
“...agreement that will give Virginians more time with their families...”
Of course it will. Most people won’t be able to afford to put gas in their cars, so they’ll end up staying home.
Ops sorry. Need coffee
Wow, I wrote my post about lower traffic volumes before reading the comment by that mental midget democrat (but I digress) that they are raising taxes so people won’t drive as much.
How do these people get more stupid.
Of course, you won’t believe what they are ramming through in Maryland. They are shoving a tax hike down our throats to provide a shopping $39,000 per student per year education cost. Sick
“”they are going to tax you enough to make you stay with your kids???””
What can anyone say except HUH? What on earth does one have to do with the other?
This statement is also a classic of the genre in the line of 'instant results' forecast!
"This is a historic agreement that will give Virginians more time with their families and less [time] stuck in traffic,"
10-20 years down the line, with ever increasing population means more taxation and adding a mileage charge to take care of those EVs, so which GENERATION of Virginians are you speaking of?
FYI: I recently experienced I-95 corridor in the DC area. It crawled with 6 lanes in each direction. How many lanes will be added with this added tax?
Hold on to those guns, Virginians.
You are really really going to need them.
It’s mostly people originally from NJ who voted for them.
“....because this plan would have been 40 cents a gallon on $5 gas....”
This has nothing to do with federal politics. That bridge was allowed to go un-repaired long ago as gas taxes by locals have gotten clear out of hand just like this one. This is state level. And using that excuse just re-emphasizes the level of intelligence their voters contain. Hard to feed a family when you can’t get to work but I guess they can all be hungry together.
I live in Washington State, highly controlled liberal. The national average state and local gasoline tax rate as of January 2019 is 30.3¢ per gallon, which is 2¢ higher than was reported in January 2018. Washington’s 49.5¢ tax rate is similar to states with traffic congestion like California 54.4¢, Florida 42.0¢, New York 44.1¢. It is already a goldmine for these states and they are not willing to get caught equal to anyone, so if Virginia goes up, we will, too. And the funds extracted from this are not nearly all going to highway funds. It’s going into a general fund so they can spend it on things like cement apartments so drug users can shoot up “in safety.” They are even using it to purchase a hotel to quarantine flu victims. Course by the time they get it into working order, the plague will be under control and the state will own a white elephant. Typical liberal reaction. And the thing is being purchasd right in the middle of liberal control central for the state, King County. So they put a sanitarium for an infectious disease right in the middle of the most populated location in the state. And they wonder why their logo is a jackass.

Put a pointy hat on her head and straw coming out of her ears, and you’re all set.
Actually, the gas tax is going to be indexed to inflation. That is the truth.
How about those who need their cars and trucks for their businesses? Better to give you more money than sit in traffic? She is a really cupid stunt. Almost makes me ashamed to be part Jew. Cant wait to get out and move to WV and SC.
