British ex-spy Christopher Steele declined to give an interview with U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the Russia investigation.
Representatives for Steele, whose unverified dossier was used by the FBI to obtain warrants to wiretap a member of President Trump's 2016 campaign, were recently approached by members of the federal prosecutor's team and they said the former MI6 agent would not cooperate with the inquiry

To: windsorknot
But he is aware as post 1 indicates who hired him.

Being uncooperative will likely preserve a body temperature of 98.6.

Or the DOJ doesn’t care about him. They know the dossier was fake and they know who used it to get things rolling.
To: eartick
Yup. Durham gave it his best shot. Time to pack it in. Nothing we can do if Steele wont get on a plane. (Now if I was president the mfer would be picked up by a SEAL team and deposed at Gitmo.)

Oh yes. I am on my way to your place Mr. US Attorney. My driver is taking a short stop for a picnic here at Fort Marcy Park. Nice day for it, don’t you think?
To: magua
A true criminal investigation will interview bit players first and save major suspects to the end. That is one reason why the Hillary investigation was so fake, they kept giving immunity and allowing conflicted lawyers to sit in on interviews.
I believe the refusal to give immunity to Steele is not a good thing for him, although he may prefer to go to prison to avoid the ire of Clinton!

To: magua
Prosecutors usually prefer to investigate and talk to lesser witnesses before confronting the key figures and potential targets. Otherwise, if you talk to them first, your questions are likely to be superficial and uninformed.
To: magua
Probably just wanted to get his refusal on the record.

What an arrogant twerp.
Duty to who exactly?
What is a foreign secret agent doing grossly interfering in American elections and living to boast about it?

Steele will be like Webb Hubbell. He'll roll over for Hillary and do prison time rather than talk. As did Susan McDougal, Jim Guy Tucker, etc. The one person who did talk, James McDougal, died suddenly and mysteriously in prison.
To: Alberta's Child
Cant say I blame him. I would venture into an ISIS stronghold dressed as a Hasidic Jew before Id ever voluntarily cooperate with a Federal prosecutor. Or any Federal agent.....example General Flynn.
