A former British intelligence officer, who is now a director of a London private security-and-investigations firm, has been identified as the author of the dossier of unverified allegations about President-elect Donald Trumps activities and connections in Russia, according to the Wall Street Journal. A Christopher Steele, a director of London-based private intelligence company, Orbis, purportedly prepared the dossier under contract to both Republican and Democratic adversaries of then-candidate Trump. The poor grammar and shaky spelling plus the authors use of KGB-style intelligence reporting, however, do not fit the image of a high-end London security company run by highly connected former British intelligence figures.

Hat tip @HansMahncke on twitter.
"How is it possible that an economics professor at the University of Houston had the entire Russia hoax figured out a week before Trump was inaugurated but the FBI couldn't?"

The FBI couldn’t figure it out because they did not want to. I am retired from the Defense intelligence Agency. I knew it was fraud without even reading it. It’s classification is Confidential/Sensitive Sources. If I had ever submitted an intel report and classified it Confidential/Sensitive Sources I would have been terminated. This Sensitive Source was supposedly close to Putin. A high level Sensitive Source in a Confidential report: impossible
And Yet MSNBC hosts will proclaim the Dossier was never “Debunked”.
The FBI certainly knew it to be a fraud but it was their all inclusive “trump” card to do whatever they wanted to investigate and ideally to find cause to remove Trump from office.
What is good for the goose should be good for the gander.
Interesting observation. Steele was a former Brit spook. Although he had been retired for sometime he certainly would have known how to classify and handle real intel information. While Steele is busy passing the dossier around the planet, the FBI classifies it TS. Sheesh..
Mark Levin called it out as BS, but not as soon as the author. I read the dossier when it came out and thought it was BS..
I don’t think we need fake dossiers. The real ones are bad enough..
Is there anyway we can have Boris hand over that dirt bag for charges?
I believe both the house and senate investigators referred him to DOJ for making false statements. Both Steele and Fusion GPS are still sticking with the story that the reporting is accurate. They can’t admit publicly it was BS. The FBI paid Steele $15K. Potential charges are making false statements to the Feds and defrauding the government for taking the payments.
