The White House is holding meetings on how to reduce the threat of coronavirus infecting President Trump and his staff after quietly tightening visitor rules last month, The Post has learned.
In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, the White House has mandated that guests disclose all countries visited in the past 30 days. And further steps are under review by a group led by Tony Ornato, White House deputy chief of staff for operations.
The group was described to The Post by one senior administration official as a task force that convenes when necessary to address emerging threat situations.
The biggest visible change in the West Wing has been installation of hand sanitizer stations. But the senior official said temperature checks and ending public tours is possible if the crisis worsens though neither are imminent.

Our friend A J ROBERTS, a scholar with Reasons to Believe in California, Masters and PHD in viruses... said Purell alcohol gel won’t kill the virus, you need chlorine ... Last night I read the reason is that alcohol must be 60%. Purell is not where near that. Also, I read many years ago that the reason they use chlorine in Pools is that it is the one thing that a small amount of it will kill viruses in a huge pool, even HIV AIDS
I just buy 91% alcohol these days. The most common on the store shelves is 70%....look around a little, 91% is there.
I’ve read that 70% is better for killing germs.
The biggest fear has to be the rallies. Who knows where all those people have been? Fortunately Trump has never been one to shake hands with people afterwards but hopefully additional steps are taken to make sure everything he comes in contact with has been sterilized.
He should have stopped the rallies two months ago.
I've read that 70% does not kill viruses but 90% does.
Reminder. Just because your hand sanitizer might say it contains 70% alcohol doesn’t mean at thing. They may be using 70% alcohol in the ingredient mixture that doesn’t mean the bottle is 70% alcohol.
The ingredient label on my cheapo off brand hand sanitizer (the only brand our grocery sells) shows the ingredient alcohol is 4th down the list.
He’s been shaking hands today in tornado affected TN.

Not to be a Debbie Doom, but why assume we’re ok just because we haven’t traveled in a hot zone?
I’ve developed a bodacious cough.
Howcome??
I live in the woods with pets & wildlife, haven’t even gone grocery shopping since Christmas, rarely come in contact with anyone...except the employees at the drive-thru window at our local burger joint.. located on a major interstate highway...
If one of those employees was infected...
