Math is hard; and some just don’t understand. A boss makes a deal to purchase a product over the phone. “$20K, plus an 11% discount if paid within 30 days”. So, although not very skilled verbally either, he runs it by his secretary to find the bottom line. “If I give you $20K, less 11%, how much would you take off?” Secretary replies, “Everything but my earrings”. And there goes communication.
