Site wants you to pay. But the abstract concludes what some have been warning, that this can leave chronic damage.
If someone has access to it, it would be nice to know what attention should be given to protect the cardiovascular system.

Yeah, we’ve been hearing this from the beginning, that there is lung scarring, so the “recovered” aren’t necessarily well in some proportion of the cases, with some proportion of some type of care.
It’d be nice to have those numbers too.

Not a cheap paywall either! I'll wait until it leaks out by other means.
Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

I read the abstract and it is really intended to warn physicians who are treating patients with Cardio Vascular Disease (CVD) that may be taking ACE2 inhibitors. The COVID-19 virus spike binds to the ACE2 receptor and can interfere with heart and lung tissue functioning.
The vast majority of people without existing conditions like CVD, hypertension, or diabetes do not express elevated levels of ACE2 and are not significantly at risk for this complication. They experience flu-like respiratory problems and fever but do not develop pneumonia.
Although the clinical manifestations of COVID-19 are dominated by respira-tory symptoms, some patients have severe cardio vascular damage3. In addition, some patients with underlying car-diovascular diseases (CVDs) might have an increased risk of death3.

It is logical to propose that stem cell research will find a lung rebuild approach in the coming years.

I've personally had tremendous luck, over the last few years, in that I am a compromised person, in that a flu or good cold represents a mortal threat to me. (COPD and CHF)
I have been taking an old drug, which has shown broad spectrum anti-viral activity against AIDS, Ebola, Marburg, Hep B and C, and coronaviruses MERS and SARS.
I have stopped three colds and one flu dead in their tracks with this drug. The problem is that it is an old drug, and has long-ago lost it's patent, so repurposing it, is an expensive proposition in that a drug company which does spend the money for studies will not profit on it.
I have been a career scientist and did in-depth research on ways I could minimize my risks of colds and flus. This old drug, has had a marvelous safety profile, in that it has been given to millions of children and pregnant women and is considered in the most safe drug category. It is widely available, and it is prescribed as an anti-parasitical for cryptosporidia, c. difficile, etc. It can be found online and is relatively cheap, and I'd encourage everyone to do their own research:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitazoxanide
And has been initially been found to be effective against 2019 NCoV: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41422-020-0282-0
https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/925224
I'd prefer remdesavir, in the event I get this virus, but it is not likely there will be enough to go around, in time, so I think this is the next best thing.

Do not fail to check this out. Blows away everything you saw so far on the coronavirus and shows the mass hypocrisy at the top world wide over this known, man made, virus since 1981. It's now being used as a means toward absolute control of populations. Martial law, gun confiscation, etc. Also seems the powers behind world conquest feel the need to push this part of the agenda forward 20 years. Images below are pages from the Dean Koontz NOVEL Eyes of Darkness PUBLISHED IN 1981!!!

already knew from other articles it can cause permanent damage to lungs, if not killing the person from the lung damage.
then today also they confirm it can in some cases cause central nervous system damage verified by mri’s and presence of encephalitis.
i am sure certain demographics are more susceptible to these occurring than others.
