Joe Biden Is No Moderate. Biden is a classic big-government liberal.

...

Biden is a moderate compared to Sanders, but he is notably to the left of previous Democratic standard-bearers. To describe Biden as a moderate without this context is to ignore the specifics of his agenda and the leftward shift in Democratic Party politics it represents.

Consider Biden's health care plan. Although he has criticized Medicare for All, the fully government-run system favored by Sanders, Biden has proposed a significant expansion of the Affordable Care Act that his campaign estimates would cost $750 billion over a decade, nearly as much as the original bill signed by President Barack Obama. Although it would not nationalize the financing of health insurance, as the Sanders plan would, Biden's proposal would nevertheless set up a new, government-run insurance plan, expand eligibility for insurance subsidies well into the middle class, and make benefits available to people who can access coverage through their employer. If enacted, it would represent a major increase in government spending on health care and a substantial increase in the government's involvement in the health care system.

Beyond health care, Biden has proposed a $1.7 trillion climate plan that is similar in scope to many candidates on his left and a $750 billion education plan that would be used, among other things, to increase teacher salaries and provide expanded access to pre-kindergarten. He favors an assault weapons ban and other gun control measures, a national $15 minimum wage, and a raft of subsidies, loans, and other government-granted nudges designed to promote rural economies. Has proposed $3.4 trillion worth of tax hikes—more than double what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proposed when she ran in 2016.

Biden has been going more left since he started running. He is now pretty much signed on with the Socialists in my view.

Bernie missed a memo: “We don’t want to destroy the Establishment anymore. We ARE the Establishment now.”

A real, classic, bigger government liberal is moderate today. There are few, if any, classic liberals left.

Joe may be one at heart, but he’ll say anything for power and that puts him in the leftist camp.

What Biden believes is irrelevant. His mind will be chicken soup by election day. He’s a puppet and nothing more. That is the point that needs to be driven home.

In fact, I believe there is a good chance that his mental disfunction will get so bad by election day that the Dems will have no choice but to put someone else in. Maybe that’s why Warren is not out yet. :)

Biden only looks “moderate” compared to the rest of the whackadoos in the clown car.

Biden has always been pretty far left.

I believe his voting record in the Senate was the most left except for one... Senator Obama.

Try to imagine that the Democrats controlled the Senate and the Republicans were about to nominate a tottering , senile and corrupt old man as their nominee. Think they would have continuous hearings right up to election day investigating his corruption? Somehow don’t get the feeling that John McCain’s old buddy Lyndsay will be doing much investigating.

Biden is the true Manchurian candidate.

Look for the hate Trump left, the corporatist status quo, and Globalists to unite behind him. He is nothing more than a vessel to be used by them to get back at the levers of power.

The Zombie Coalition.

Exactly.

In my home state of Minnesota, the media has cast Amy Klobitchar as a moderate. Amy herself embraces that reputation.

But if you look at the Americans for Democratic Action (ADA)ratings for Amy in 2018, she scored a 95. Bernie Sanders scored a perfect 100.

Sanders served with Biden in the Senate in 2007-2008 before Biden became VP. I’ll look it up later but I’ll bet Biden’s and Sanders ADA ratings were very similar.

In short, Biden is no moderate and the GOP would do well to help fix that misconception.

Some things one may want to ‘hold’ until he is officially ‘it’.

The Ukraine thing HAS to be ‘picked at’ as if ‘we’ wait for that it will/may seem vindictive AND the MSM will surely play it that way anyway.

Biden is a con artist. He has no political viewpoint other than what will make him the most money, keep him out of prison, and convince people to vote for him.

He'd put on a KKK hood or keep hot sauce in his purse and say "I ain't no ways tired."

The foolishness of this article is trying to assign a political viewpoint to Biden. It's like trying to assign a political viewpoint to an alligator. An alligator wants meat. Biden wants money, power, and to sniff little girls.

She did believe in restricting a woman’s right to an abortion during the third trimester. At least that is something.

The bottom line is, maybe deep down Joe is more Centrist than folks like AOC, Warren etc.

But who is going to be in his administration? It’s going to be no different than if it was Warren or Bernie.

For the most part, at least in his own words, Obama came off as more as a moderate that made him seem palatable to many centrists. But behind the scenes, when you see what kind of people were working for him, they were radicals, and it would be no different with Biden in the White House.
