My work day ended abruptly...the alarms went off in the mall...all shoppers and all office folks on the upper floors had to leave the building. I work on the 4th floor. Shut my laptop that I use for FR, grabbed my coat and back pack and down the stairs I went...very slowly. Arthritic knees don’t like down.

We are COLD! 12 now headed to below zero. And shortly after posting the thread the building alarms went off. Grab your stuff and vacate the building.
That Marine looks VERY cold!!
It quit raining at about noon and the kitties were happy. It was a wonderful rain and it’ll go far in getting our spring things growing well.
I’m glad you were dry. You need that as much as we needed the rain!
Is this week over yet? Just as I got started on the thread the building alarms went off. Ruthe and I were talking about a problem I had found and we finally tracked down the issue and were trying figure how to fix it.
We looked at each other and said screw it. Close down quickly, grab our stuff, we are not coming back up. Soooo I had to walk down 4 floors worth of stairs, one step at a time. I don’t do down well and have to turn sideways...right down, left down to same step, repeat all the way down. 18 degrees outside, but I drove Ruthe to her car and we had a few laughs. Needless to say, my knees are killing me.
This on top of my last night leaving work in single digits and a stiff wind and a VERY flat tire. Had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for the guy to come and change my tire. I must say that at least I wasn’t on the road. I just sat in my car, warming it up, playing solitaire on my phone, and having a charger for it in the car. So I was safe and warm. I even went inside and got a Mrs Fields cookie.. I drop my car off at 7:15 on the way to work.
I may have to go soak and medicate...LOL! Don’t get old!!
It was a really good rainfall for y’all. LONG overdue.
I think the rain that’s south of us will stay there for the most part. Tonight they said we might get a few scattered light showers overnight but it looks like tomorrow should be dry for the most part. That suits us just fine!
We both had the perfect day today. That doesn’t happen very often. I like it!
Hope it’s nice when you have to get out tomorrow. Much more pleasant when it’s not raining like crazy!

Hope you made it well through hump day. I’ve been dealing with slow leaks in a tire, and then a flat, and alarms at work which mean walking down 4 flight of stairs. Not a good week for me so far. Come on, Weekend!!!!

I think I’d have stayed inside the mall last evening rather than sit in the car the whole time. But then you didn’t know it was going to take forever for someone to show up.
A LONG, HOT soak sounds ideal. Your poor sore knees will thank you for it.
I wouldn’t call it a perfect day here but it was dry. A little sunshine would have been nice. LOL! But we had both yesterday so I’m not complainin’.
It’ll probably be cloudy tomorrow, too, but if it’s dry in the evening when we leave for the meeting, that’ll be good enough.
Cloudy isn’t such a bad thing. I actually like cloudy days better....they’re peaceful to me. But then, my skin doesn’t like the sun.
Being dry while on the road is a real plus! Don’t need the extra stress.

It will be minus something when I drop my car off in the morning. I did stop there this morning and got all 3 big tires and the little spare all topped off with air.
