Former New York City mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg spent over $60 million on Facebook advertising in the past 90 days— with just $1,651 going to ads in American Samoa—the only primary he’s won so far on Super Tuesday, while trailing in exit polls everywhere else.
- The American Samoa had six delegates up for grabs, with Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) winning one of those, according to exit polls.
- Bloomberg entered the presidential race late, and skipped the first few primary contests in favor of betting big on Super Tuesday.
- Bloomberg had not earned 15% of the vote in North Carolina, Vermont and Virginia as of 8:40 p.m. EST, when that percentage is required in order to receive a proportion of delegates—but spent nearly $5.6 million on Facebook ads in those states.
- In comparison, Bloomberg spent $7.6 million in California and $6.2 million in Texas, the two states with the biggest Super Tuesday delegate prizes.
- Bloomberg’s outsize ad spending, along with a maligned Instagram influencer campaign, has been criticized as an attempt to buy the presidency by competitor Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and others.
- Some reports theorized Bloomberg might drop out of the race after Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and former South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg ended their campaigns over the weekend and endorsed Biden.
Crucial quote: “Have you asked Joe whether he’s going to drop out? When you ask him that, then you can call me,” Bloomberg told reporters earlier on Tuesday, when asked if he was considering ending his presidential bid.
Big number: $528 million. That’s how much money Bloomberg will have reportedly spent on campaign advertising.

This is even more evidence, how ineffective the Russian Facebook ads were for 2015/16 as the Democrats/Media wanted the public to believe.

Samoa must be full of graves.

Local TV still had plenty of Bloomberg ads today, Wednesday.
MSM is so greedy they will take money from dying people as well.

Those Bloomberg ads were everywhere on YouTube! So, I started mentioning them in the comments of the videos I was watching...
“Wow, this wasn’t worth suffering through another Bloomberg ad!”
Got lots of thumbs ups.

Further still, Bloomie is an argument against the belief that we need to get money out of politics/you can BUY the Presidency.

Maybe they are all short and view him as one of them. Those of us who are vertically challenged are being oppressed! Every time I go to the grocery store, everything I want is on the top shelves and usually pushed back from the front.

Spent many millions and couldn’t influence the elections, but the Russians spend $100,000 on Facebook ads and gave Trump the election in 2016.

Ironically, after Bloomberg dropped ou today, I received in the mail a Bloomberg ad boasting of all of his victories against the GOP, the NRA and others, with Trump is next!
I actually saved it. It does not look like it was a cheap print.
But hey, when you earn $1.5 billion in interest annually, I guess that flyers are no big deal.

I don’t know about that. I could probably give you a run for your money.

Bloomberg Spent ... Just $1,600 On American Samoa, The Only Primary He’s Won Interesting. We would need to know how much each candidate spent to garner votes in American Samoa in order to determine if money wins votes.

Fair enough. We short people should band together. :-)
