Thousands of people are continuing to pledge their support for Elizabeth Warren as their choice for the Democratic presidential nomination despite hugely disappointing Super Tuesday results.
The term "Warren Democrat" was one of the top trending topics on Twitter early Wednesday morning as social media users continue to support and appreciate Warren despite the race for the nomination looking set to now be between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
In a crushing blow for her campaign, Warren barely registered in most of the 14 elections during Super Tuesday. Even worse, she is forecast to finish third place in her home state of Massachusetts, gaining just 21.2 percent of the votes with 91 percent of precincts reporting at the time of publication.
Despite her crushing results, people on Twitter users are continuing to express their support for Warren.
"I voted for the woman who destroyed the sexist billionaire. I voted for the woman who would destroy the other sexist billionaire. I voted for what I saw in Vegas with my own eyes. Always trust your own eyes. Not the pundits'. Could come back to haunt you. I am a Warren Democrat," tweeted Jason Overstreet.
Fellow Twitter user @jospoke1 wrote, "I'm a Warren Democrat because I believe we should be brave and strive for the greatness we are capable of while fixing the mess and shoring up the weaknesses in our system *45 has exposed. There's no one that could do that better than @ewarren. Today fear won. I'm sad & ashamed."
"Whatever happens, I am a Warren Democrat, and proud of it. I believe in real progressive change, and I believe in her," added writer Jeff Yang.

Methinks they want to keep Warren in to siphon votes from Bernie.
Eventually Warren or Bernie or somebody just like them WILL get elected.
It will happen when Corporate America, always too clever by half, does something that’s perceived as too clever by six-and-a-half, creating a huge public hunger and thirst to see them punished.
And every one of them needs to realize that the outcome was pre-ordained and that she was denied the office for which she is so uniquely qualified. That being the case, they ALL need to stay home in protest on November 3rd - just like the Bernie supporters! ;-)
Instead of "you got your ass handed to you, it's time to get out and endorse Bernie Sanders", she's getting an "almost winner" participation trophy.
Pretty transparent, isn't it.
