Cements the seat for whom? The Republicans or the Dims?

For the GOP. We already saw how well Roy Moore did vs. Doug Jones in 2017. Thankfully the Alabama GOP electorate overwhelmingly rejected him and spared us a boring re-run.

Where will Byrne’s voters go in the runoff?

Derp Jeff placed 2nd in the primary. He’s toast in the runoff. Tuberville isn’t my personal preference, but rewarding Sessions for his abysmal performance as AG while our President was set up for fake crimes would be an abomination.

All the candidates were anti-Sessions, so that should answer the question.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mitch McConnell intercede on behalf of his good friend Jeff Sessions.

Surely Roy Moore will time someone to sue in all this. :-P

70% of the voters spoke loud and clear: Derp Jeff is done.

Roy Moore being gone is the most important thing to be taken from this race, nominating him is about the only way we could fail to remove Doug Jones. I’m from Mississippi but have a lot of good friends in Alabama. They’d all rather Sessions win instead of Tuberville, I don’t know many that have much use for him. Sessions, for all his faults as AG, was a good senator and would be my choice. Kicking out Doug Jones is the imperative though, so I’m fine with Tuberville if that’s what it takes to get rid of Jones.

Sessions should drop out now, else risks a Democrat winning in November.

Does Alabama have a ‘sore loser law’? Or can Moore run 3rd party?

I wouldnt be surprised to see Mitch McConnell intercede on behalf of his good friend Jeff Sessions.Just like he did for his good friend, the corrupt Luther Strange. I just hope Turberville doesn't have skeletons in his closet.

Thank God for that. The chances of snagging that seat back are far better now.
