The only thing I told GOD way back in my youthful firefighting days (one day in particular) was “GOD I don’t mind dying, but please don’t let me burn”.
For some reason known only to HIM, he didn’t let me burn to death that day.
WOW.
That’s a horrifying way to go.
Had a fireman friend get blown out of a room and was hanging by his hands onto the window sill until they rescued him.
