It went through a historic residential area in the north downtown. Won’t be able to see the damage until morning. I’m in the SE part of the city. Tornado sirens went off, but there was nothing but wind and electricity flickering here. It’s still an unusually warm 65 at 2:30 in the morning, about 25 degrees warmer than it should be. I’m going to bed.
Been through a tornado when stationed at Altus AFB - amazing what a few minutes can to towards turning a community into the leftovers of a war zone.
Yeh, I lived through the 1998 tornado in N Atlanta. Lost half my roof and was cowering in a downstairs closet. The most terrified I have ever been. And yes it does sound like a train.
