A second person has died of the novel coronavirus in the Seattle area and more confirmed cases of the illness have emerged in Washington State, officials said Sunday evening. Public health leaders in King County, Wash., said a man in his 70s with underlying health conditions died on Saturday at EvergreenHealth hospital in Kirkland. Thats the same facility where officials identified the nations first coronavirus death on Saturday a man in his 50s with underlying health conditions.
Officials also announced three other confirmed coronavirus cases in the county, all at EvergreenHealth. They include a woman in her 80s, a woman in her 90s and a man in his 70s. All were in critical condition with underlying health issues. All four new cases were residents of a nursing facility in Kirkland where two other people a resident and a worker had previously tested positive....
The first of those cases was announced on Jan. 21, but this weekend saw a marked uptick in the pace of diagnoses. Twenty-three U.S. cases were announced on Saturday and Sunday, including the countrys first two deaths, both in Washington State.

I was thinking the same thing. Most people I know don’t go the doctor every time they catch a cold. The vast majority of people have mild or in some cases no symptoms.
The mortality rate is totally dependent on the number of people that actually get tested for a disease. The less number of people that are tested, the higher the mortality rate.
I think I heard over 18,000, but people are used to flu and won't panic, this is different and provides the corrupt media and Dems an opportunity to scare their constituents, how nice of them.
I actually knew 2 people that passed away and 2 more that ended up in the hospital as a result of the flu in 2017-18. I believe that year saw 60 or 80 thousand deaths in the US alone.
Can you imagine those numbers under the current corona-hype? We’d have military vehicles in the streets and roving gangs of militia hunting for food and fuel. Glenn Beck would be in his bunker masturbating among canned goods and gold bars.
interestingly - so far and i hope this is a trend, this is not hitting children hard. even in China. re flu deaths, i think people concentrating on hygiene may help this year. i do worry about the homeless - and i see there may be a problem in a WA nursing home - elderly, close quarters, shared spaces....states have to do their part.
I was in Las Vegas at Bally’s right next to Paris where they were having the ‘Rat debate. I walked across the street to the magnificent casino/hotel Bellagio and went through it. Inside is a tremendous display/decorations honoring Chinese culture. There were hundreds...if not thousands of Oriental young and old taking pictures of these decorations. I thought back about the dem debate coming up the next day. 2020 is the year of The White Metal Rat. Just sayin’
We should be proactive and quarantine/lock down Vegas so the innocent Chinese don’t get blamed for anything. Natural mountain barriers, a couple of interstates to seal off easily. Nellis AFB nearby in case things get really out of control. Food could be brough in from one of the world’s largest drone ports nearby.
I’ll have to search to see...when is the year of The Eugenicist.
lol
gonna need some dramamine if you’re a market watcher...lol
Thanks for the chart!
Just common sense

flying is much safer than driving. Unfortunately I can’t fly to CVS.
Aren’t you afraid you’ll die on the way to the airport?
Buying a mask has about the same risk as a flight...
(Unless you catch something on the flight because you weren’t wearing a mask, of course...)
