Tiger Ye, 21, lives in Wuhan and started showing symptoms in mid-January. Here he tells the story of his illness and recovery
Tiger Ye in Wuhan
Sat 29 Feb 2020 00.00 ESTOn 17 January my muscles became sore all over. I may have had a slight fever, but it wasnt strong enough to notice. Looking back, it is a little scary, because my house and the language school where I study Japanese are within a 5km radius of the Wuhan seafood market (where the virus is believed to have originated). To treat my muscle soreness, I took some cold tablets because I thought it was a normal cold. Now that I think of it, I might have missed the best time for treatment, failing to contain the virus with antiviral rugs in its early stages.
I have no idea how I got the virus. I always eat at the same Hong Kong-style restaurant below my school. I wasnt walking around much at the time because it was very cold, and since I was tired after classes I always went back home. Once the semester break started, I stayed with my parents and not at the dormitory. I started wearing a mask a few days later when I saw everyone else around me wearing masks.
Sickness and self-isolation
By 21 January my body was still aching all over, so I called my dad. He sensed something was wrong with me and urged me to go home immediately. That evening I took my body temperature which showed a mild fever. My mom said that if my temperature still didnt drop later that night, we would go to the hospital. At 11pm that night, the fever hadnt gone away, so I went to Tongji hospital.

I run a few sites, you would be very surprise how much is track.
He may have but he appears to have used two medications at home. Sounded like they were oral types but he didn’t specify them.
An interesting aspect to his story is with the precautions. iI appears other family members also became ill but never suffered the depth of his illness.
Sounds like they got it airborne but even his grandmother handled the illness better than he did.
Don’t disrupt the ‘it only kills the old people who need to die anyway’ meme.
This US administration is establishing new norms of behaviour.
Translation: “We’re not getting away with or vicious name-calling, vilifying crap anymore”.
Any of a thousand ways. One of his waiters might have had it or a customer walking by his table.
The fact his family took precaution is an eye opener. It was a good first hand story.
Lots of speculation that NE Asians are more susceptible to this virus. They have a certain gene you can look up.
are Iranians considered Asians?
Would I be considered paranoid if I said I suspect Facebook has the ability to data mine the internet, even email correspondences?
None of it makes sense because it’s bologney.
Kind of sad that for spiritual help, Tiger had to turn to his favorite anime show (cartoon).
He? Are you sure?
Damn. Sounds exactly like the flu I had last month. The constant cough was the worst. No - I havent been to China nor do I know anyone who has
I thought that spiritual help comment was bizarre also
Well it shows this virus is like a bad flu. So i just had the flu and it aint fun. And if everyone in your sphere of influence gets the flu things can grind to a halt. But they will pick back up again. I just feel sorry for elderly and others more susceptible to flu bc this won’t be good for them.
Yes, but is it coronavirus infected bologney?
Better soak it in pure bleach, and let it sit in strong sun light for 3 days, before you eat any.
Have you played Chinese Checkers recently?
Thanks for that answer.Knowing The Guardian I would have bet that it was in the third paragraph rather than at the very end.
My days of licking Chinese people are mostly over.
“So whats the truth?”
Aye, now there’s the rub.
NOBODY KNOWS SHITE!
I have had colds as bad as this guy describes his Corona Virus episode was.
Didn’t sound that bad to me. Drugs, fluids, bed rest, and TIME.
Hospitalized? He WENT to the hospital, 21 January at 11 pm. Then because of overcrowding, he went to a different hospital. Time not given, but midnight Jan 22? They gave him tests and drugs.
“I started to self-isolate on 22 January.” AT HOME!
I dare say that he was AT two hospitals, but was never “hospitalized”.
“That period from 21 January to the 26th was the worst time.”
SIX days! WOW!
We’ve ALL been this sick, probably multiple times. No pandemic, no Corona Virus. Just humans living on a planet with OTHER HUMANS.
Actually, we’re probably better off for the exposure to foreign bugs or we would end up like the Indians in the New World did, DEAD!
