British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his partner Carrie Symonds are engaged and expecting a baby in early summer, according to multiple reports Saturday.
Johnson, 55, and Symonds, 31, became the first unmarried couple to occupy Downing Street when they moved in last July. Symonds is also the youngest partner of a prime minister in 174 years, according to BBC News.
In a post on her private Instagram account, Symonds gushed: “Many of you already know but for my friends that still don’t, we got engaged at the end of last year… and we’ve got a baby hatching early summer. Feel incredibly blessed,” the BBC report said.

Boris Johnson has had a series of illegitimate children, whom he abandoned when he broke up with their mothers. When asked how many children he has, he refuses to answer. (It is 5 or 6, I think, from different relationships.) I don’t know why he is marrying this latest woman, maybe because he is now PM.

We have a small flock of free range chickens, and when a hen goes broody we let her hatch a few chicks. It is a marvelous thing to observe. But that has me cracking up at the use of the word “hatching”, here. ROFL with the visualizations... This especially with the (past?) Brit use of “bird” for a (usually young) woman.
I wonder if the Brits have the same meaning for “little pecker” as we generally do here?!

He already has two sons and two daughters from his first two marriages, and at age 55 he’ll be an older father with a younger mother, so in a sense this new baby will be something of his Barron.

And absolutely. Power is an attractor to women much in the same way as beauty is to men.
(The daddy issues often come in when that is not part of the equation and the marriage or pairing is while the woman is still very young.)
