Tough day.
We used to let our kids the pick a half way point on our vacation drives. One year my son picked Okefenokee Swamp on our way to Florida.
Alligators in the parking lot!!! I was worried that we might become food!!!!
Cute. As a rule, I mute commercials and look at something else - but there are exceptions. Right now my favorites are the Geico Pinocchio ads.

Know a couple who visited last year and couldn’t believe how many people spit on the streets, and how unsanitary everything seemed. They said few people smile in the streets. They were fortunate to be able to afford to stay in upscale hotels & eat in upscale restaurants, but were still happy to leave.
We were on a river cruise and allowed us to view the small villages along the river. One day we were on the deck and a bunch of us witnessed a small tug dumping barrels of trash off the stern of their boat. The pollution is so bad and the poverty is so bad there is very little chance they can hide it. The sun was not visible at all for the two weeks we were there. Building going on all over but no occupants so empty big buildings stand lifeless. Several of us decided to skip a packaged tour day and go into a small town. We went to a park and saw townspeople gathered, dancing and doing aerobics. When they spotted us they came over and looked at us as if we were from mars. Several tried to touch my hair (I’m blonde). We hurried out of there. If you stay on the tour ship or their designated hotels it’s great,
