Spitting in China is due to ideas that it is somehow physically ‘healthy’ to rid the body of...that stuff; and to old ideas that it is somehow ‘magical’ wrt ridding oneself of bad influences of a more metaphysical character.
The Chinese govt. has tried to prohibit it, especially when events were taking place involving world visitors from other cultures.

I have read Jayna Davis’ excellent book “The Third Terrorist” a few times, and there is zero doubt in my mind that Timothy McVeigh did NOT carry out that bombing on his own with only Terry Nichols.
There was a time when I wondered how the Clinton White House would even think it could have obscured and covered up that foreign involvement. Now, after I see what the Deep State has tried to do to Trump and his associates, I wonder no more.
