Israeli ambassador to Germany Jeremy Issacharoff warned Thursday that Germany is losing its grip on democracy in the wake of recent terror attacks.
Following anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim attacks in Halle and Hanau, Issacharoff said: “No democratic society can survive if minorities are constantly threatened or harmed.”
“The Holocaust has shown us all where such hatred leads,” he told the German regional newspaper Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung. “An open society can tolerate many things, but never violence. People are starting to act violently against minorities, against Jews and Muslims again.”
The ambassador also appealed to Jews and Muslims not to hide their religious affiliation. …

Germany's democracy is more threatened by their hate speech laws and open defiance against any political party that supports Germany continuing to be Germany.
What about the dangers to Israeli democracy due to the hamstringing of Israeli Arab parties?
I am so bad at understanding other countries’ political processes.
I know there’s something about coalitions being needed and no confidence votes..
The Liberal party won, but then was lambasted by the leftists for being associated with the rightwingers, even though there was no coordination.
The liberal party winner had to resign almost immediately due to guilt by association.
Germany appears lost.
I read about that.
They are lost.
I see very little hope for Germany like we are seeing in England.
There’s hope in some of the E European countries and Italy and a few others still have a chance.
But the window is closing.
My daughter lives in Germany. She has not been afraid of any native German or any non-native Christian or Jew or atheist for that matter. She was warned by some locals to stay away from certain “new arrivals” that approached her once until they realized she was with her husband and four other “fit” American men.
No country can survive invasion and kowtowing to the subversive minority.
