Bernie Sanders just might win the South Carolina primary on Saturday.
That's the real headline out of a new poll conducted by NBC and Marist College that shows Sanders trailing longtime South Carolina front-runner Joe Biden by a narrow 27% to 23% margin, with five days of campaigning remaining. (Several recent polls have suggested a similar tightening.)
While the top-line number draws the eye, it's a series of other questions sprinkled throughout the poll that seem to suggest a path to a massive upset victory does, in fact, exist.
Should Sanders score the upset, it would end Biden's campaign -- whether or not the former vice president chose to acknowledge that fact. And with a weakened (or non-existent) Biden on Super Tuesday and beyond, Sanders would likely become the landing place for many black voters. Which, when combined with his support among white and Latino voters, woud make him incredibly difficult to beat in the Democratic nomination fight.

With Operation Chaos underway, I think Sanders eeeks it out!
Sorry, Dr. Jill. No second pair of mink & ruby house slippers for this year. You’ll have to make do with baby seal.
>>>This morning they were saying Biden had a huge lead in SC?<<<
That was for the Senate Seat he is running for, not the Democrat Presidential Nomination. :)
“These contradictory polls make no senseat this point I have no clue what will happen in South Carolina.”
I suspect it means things are very fluid and changing very quickly. Sanders will be almost impossible to stop if he wins SC.
And it will be 1972 redux. Except George McGovern was well spoken and didn’t look like an old homeless guy.
Joe Biden is bad news for himself
How can any reasonable person look and listen and not discern dementia of some kind?
Ditto with Sanders
And Pelosi
Sanders is in South Carolina now and will stay until Friday. And yet you claim he has given up. We’ll see.
“This morning they were saying Biden had a huge lead in SC?”

Just typical Dims/media manipulating polls to cause a desired result. The brilliant folks putting out the polls likely count on having a fair amount of influence on certain cool-aid drinking low info types...you know the type...people that will hear it and vote for Joe, thinking they’re voting for a winner. Such polls are designed to provide momentum to a desired candidate. Must be getting desperation time.
The problem with these kinds of polls, is that the closer to actual voting, the closer to truth the poll will then have to be in order for the polls to have future credibility. So, yeah, eventually the polls will have to acknowledge the truth (ie that Bernie is the man).
If you're right, you would stand to clean up. Current odds favour Biden by nearly 4 to 1.
Some of the polls show Biden with a strong lead in the race for Senator while others show him not doing quite as well in the race for the Presidency.
Go Bernie
Point well made.
Biden is looking like a democrap version of Yeb Bush.
Anything less than a 10 point win for Biden is a loss.
A loss in SC to Sanders is fatal.
Considering every poll you have ever seen has at least 10% more Democrats (because there are more Democrats) it makes it hard to poll in Rat Primaries. Which Democrat gets the patented ten percent?
Operation Chaos is right.
Maybe this will be the beginning of the end of “open” primaries.
The bad news for Mr. Biden has nothing to do with polls or primaries.
Conflicting information. The dim party is like the coronavirus. :)
That was for the Senate Seat he is running for, not the Democrat Presidential Nomination. :)
============================================================That is LOUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY.
Not really news. We’ve known Joe is a dead man walking for some time now.
