As face masks fly off the shelves amid rising fears over the COVID-19 illness, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute for Occupation Safety and Health have just issued a helpful guide about which types of beards and mustaches will make those masks less effective, and which will be OK.
Bottom line: Most beards, and a few mustaches, prevent the mask from making a complete seal against the skin.

Which one is the “NO FLY” beard?
Which one is the “NO FLY” beard?
If everyone would start wearing masks during flu season we wouldn’t lose 30,000-40,000 each year from the regular flu.
If we mandated forced quad valent high dose flu vaccines for everyone who doesn’t have a doctor witnessed allergic reaction we would not have flu outbreak at all. The strain thats killing people this year is influenza A with some B too both are in the quad vax this year. Small pox was eliminated with forced vaccinations so was polio. Yes vaccines do harm a small percentage of those given but the benefit to the majority vastly out weights the risk to the few.
Well the flaw in that theory is that the annual vaccine for the flu has to be prepared months ahead of flu season so they guess as to what strains will be the most virulent. Most times they miss the mark and you are getting a 15%-20% protection. Small pox vaccine is pretty much a sure thing as is the polio vaccine.
The other problem is that we live in a free country not Nazi Germany. You can’t force free people to get flu vaccines. Its not polio or small pox. Whats next forced shingles ,HPV and pneumonia vaccines? Good luck forcing 334 million people to get a flu shot.

Excellent!
I can’t stop giggling at the “Villain” mustache.
So theyve moved from gun control to sensible and reasonable beard control?
I’m thinking about the old bandana over the mouth of dust storms, hold ups, and riding drag.
“riding drag.”
I know what you mean but the new generation takes that to mean something completely different.
A Prohibition against facial hair is perfectly understandable and entirely logical. A chart with 43 different kinds of beards and what they are called is inane. I am going to assume that that poster was not issued by the CDC, is some chart of something that appeared on a magazine somewhere and a trusty fr Forum member posted it as a funny.
