A German teenager dubbed the “anti-Greta” – climate sceptics’ answer to the schoolgirl activist Greta Thunberg – is set to address the biggest annual gathering of US grassroots conservatives.
Naomi Seibt, 19, who styles herself as a “climate sceptic” or “climate realist”, will this week address the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) near Washington, joining speakers including Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence.
Seibt is in the pay of the Heartland Institute, a thinktank closely allied with the White House that denies established science showing humans are heating the planet with dangerous consequences.
CPAC will be the biggest stage yet for Seibt, a so-called “YouTube influencer” who tells her followers Thunberg and other activists are whipping up unnecessary hysteria by exaggerating the climate crisis. Advertisement
“Climate change alarmism at its very core is a despicably anti-human ideology,” she has said.
The teenager, from Münster in western Germany, claims she is “without an agenda, without an ideology”. But she was pushed into the limelight by leading figures on the German far right and her mother, a lawyer, has represented politicians from the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party in court.

That’s not a bad thing in itself. When you’re talking about climate or any other science I don’t want to see emotion, I want to see facts. Emotionalism has gotten us into so much trouble in the past.

The self-righteous anger from the left does not hold up. ‘Anti- Greta’ is 19, capable of and expected to make her own decisions. Greta is 17 and suffers from disorders, unfortunately. Big difference.
That was the first thing that leaped out at me also. “established science”? Like the various computer models that have FAILED FAILED FAILED??? Like the imminent doom predictions going back over 30 years now??? Like “hide the decline”???

It helps when your parents don’t drink and do drugs, especially for mom when she’s pregnant with you. Also helps when mom and dad aren’t a couple of Antifa thugs who instill in you a hatred for everything and everyone.
agreed.... its also silly to literally find another teen after the fact, just to prop up as your solution.
But lets be clear... the dems have as little interest in solutions for global warming as the republicans. Officially they’re pro environment, but we’ve seen no sign of this urgency during any of the debates. You would have thought the DNC would have demanded a debate solely on climate change..... nope. Why? because the same people are funding both sides, and seemingly both teens.
PS... I’m not arguing pro or anti climate change, I just find it hilarious that the left just uses it as a prop
