LONDON, Feb 26 (Reuters) - BP said it will leave three U.S. petroleum trade groups, including the country’s main refining lobby, due to misaligned views over the energy transition to battle climate change. The decision comes after BP Chief Executive Officer Bernard Looney, who took office earlier this month, set one of the oil sector’s most ambitious targets for curbing carbon emissions with a vow to “re-invent” the 111-year old company in the face of the climate challenge. The London-based company said in a report on Wednesday that it will quit the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), following similar moves by other European rivals. BP will also not renew its membership in the Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA) and Western Energy Alliance (WEA), it said.

The US has been cleaning up emissions that pollute both our air and water for years. Our air quality and water quality is steadily improving.
UNTIL China, Russia, India, Pakistan, and the like get serious about better pollution control everything else done is nearly meaningless. There is not an atmospheric dome over the US.
Who controls the climate? The Lord God Almighty. He can make blizzards happen in the deserts just by speaking it into existence. It’s His call. Give this BP guy a Bible.
My recommendation is to sell BP.
Just like the Catholic Church...a deal was cut saying “back us and we won’t sue you into oblivion”

I agree. . .BTW, these people are so absorbed with this movement. . .it has become a religion to them. I just wanted to remind the self proclaimed climate change aficionados just WHO is in charge of everything. . .including everyone’s next breath.
